The Seven Phoenix is a work ship that can be used as a pipelayer . The ship is owned by the offshore service provider Subsea 7 . It runs under the flag of Man Isle of and the home port is Douglas .
history
The ship ordered on November 28, 2000 was laid down on March 21, 2001 . The ship was completed on March 6, 2003. The ship was the last ship to be built at the traditional shipyard Cantiere Navale Fratelli Orlando in Livorno and put into service by Elettra under the name Pertinacia with its home port of Naples . In 2007 the ship came to the Acergy and with this merger in 2011 to Subsea 7. The Pertinacia was renamed Seven Phoenix in May 2012 and converted in Vitória in 2012/2013 to a tiltable flex-lay laying system from Huisman .
Since October 2, 2018, the ship has been laid up on the quay of the Stocznia Gdańsk in Gdansk.
Technology and equipment
The ship is equipped with a diesel-electric drive . For power generation for the two drive motors, each with 3,300 kW of power, the two azimuth thruster drive, and the work on board four are Wärtsilä - diesel generators of the type Vasa 8R32LN each with 3,240 kW power. A Wärtsilä diesel generator of the type 6L20 with an output of 1360 kW is available for port operations. A Volvo Penta emergency power generator of the type TAMD 122A with 220 kW was also installed.
The ship is equipped with two transverse thrusters , each with an output of 1600 kW, and an extendable propeller pod in the bow area, which is driven by an electric motor with a 2200 kW output. The ship has a Class II dynamic positioning (DP) system of the Kongsberg Simrad SDP22 type.
There is space on board for 77 people, for whom 58 cabins are available. At the bow there is a helipad for helicopters up to 9.2 tons.
The supplies and other supplies amount to a maximum of:
- 3177 m³ of fuel
- 75 m³ hydraulic oil
- 707 m³ drinking water
- 5800 m³ of ballast water .
Piping equipment
The Seven Phoenix is designed to lay flexible pipelines. The Huisman laying system has a holding force of 340 t. Under the 1200 square meter working deck, 1400 t in the front and 1000 t in the rear can be stored on two spindles.
Crane system
The crane systems include a stern boom with 60 tonnes lifting capacity, the main crane with 34.5 tonnes on starboard amidships and a 15 t crane on starboard aft.
Special equipment
Two remote-controlled underwater vehicles (ROV) of the type Triton ST can be used up to a water depth of 3000 meters.
