Severin Johansen

Severin Johansen (born June 4, 1941 in Ukkusissat , † November 10, 2005 in Uummannaq ) was a Greenland state councilor .

Severin Johansen became a member of the Greenland Tax Council as assistant treasurer in 1974 and was appointed its chairman two weeks later. In 1975 he entered the regional council election and received almost the most votes in his constituency before Pavia Nielsen , which he succeeded in entering the regional council. In 1977 he was elected director of Uummannaq Township . In the same year he joined the newly founded Siumut . In the first election for Inatsisartut he only stood as a second representative for Pavia Nielsen, as in 1983 and 1984. In the 1987 election he no longer stood for the Siumut, but as a representative for the Inuit candidate Ataqatigiit , Karen Lyberth. In 1993 he ran for the Uummannaq parish council, but received only 13 of 636 votes. In 1995 he ran again as a representative in the parliamentary elections.

He was the son of Kristian Johansen (1915–1958) and Elisabeth Johansen (1907–1993) and the older brother of Lars Emil Johansen (* 1946).
