Kristian Johansen (politician)

Karl Isak Kristian Victor Johansen (born June 10, 1915 in Uummannaq , † January 23, 1958 in Illorsuit ) was a Greenland state councilor .

Born in Uummannaq, Kristian Johansen moved to Ukkusissat after the wedding in 1938 , where he worked as a commercial administrator. In 1945 he was elected to the North Greenland State Council before the young family moved on to Illorsuit in 1946. When the Provincial Council was first elected for the United Greenland and directly elected in 1951 , it was no longer represented. In 1955, however, he was elected to the council of the Uummannaq community , but he died two and a half years later at the age of 42.

Kristian Johansen was the son of the hunter Lars Jens Jacob Johansen (1885–?) And his second wife Magdalene Abigael Hedvig Pollas (1888–?). On July 23, 1938, he married Elisabeth Henningsen (1907–1993), eight years his senior , the first and only female Greenlandic regional councilor, daughter of Johan Emil Hans Henningsen (1876–1952) and Johanne Marie Gjertrud Fleischer (1880–1959). The couple had the following children:
