Samuel Mathæussen

Samuel Hans Hendrik Abel Mathæussen (born September 19, 1905 in Narsaq near Nuuk ; † unknown ) was a Greenlandic catechist and councilor .

Samuel Mathæussen was the son of Salomon Kristian Jonas Mathæussen (1880–?) And his wife Frederikke Erdmuth (1881–?). On November 11, 1928, he married in Upernavik Jørgine Anna Karoline Abigael Geisler (1907–?), Daughter of the hunter Knud Johannes Jørgen Geisler (1878–1907) and his wife Else Mette Beate Petersen. Kleemann (1867–?).

He studied at Ilinniarfissuaq in Nuuk . He then worked as a catechist in northern Greenland. In the 1940s he was chief catechist in Kangersuatsiaq . From 1945 to 1950 he was a member of the North Greenland State Council . At the meeting in 1949 he was represented by Hendrik Olsen .
