Shadrack Hoff

Shadrack Hoff (born May 19, 1973 in Vryburg ) is a South African long-distance runner .

Hoff was five times South African champion, twice in the 5000-meter run (1993, 2001) and in the half marathon (1999, 2000) and once in the 1500-meter run (1996). Over 5000 m he took part in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, but was eliminated in the semi-finals.

In 1999 he came in 27th at the World Cross Country Championships in Belfast and 94th at the World Half Marathon Championships in Palermo . At the Zevenheuvelenloop he was fourth.

In 2000 he finished 23rd in the Rotterdam Marathon , and in 2001 he finished second in the Boilermaker Road Race and won the Virginia Beach Half Marathon . The following year he finished second behind his compatriot Hendrick Ramaala in the World's Best 10K and took sixth place at the World Half Marathon Championships in Brussels . In 2003 Hoff won the 20 van Alphen and was third in the Boilermaker Road Race, in 2005 he was second in the Enschede Marathon .

Shadrack Hoff is 1.69 m tall and weighs 51 kg.
