Shane McMahon (cook)

Shane McMahon (born September 25, 1970 in Limerick , Ireland ) is an Irish chef and television chef . He became known through appearances in Galileo on Pro7 and as a protagonist in Beef Battle - Duel am Grill on ProSieben Maxx .

Life

Shane McMahon comes from a traditional family of restaurateurs with Irish-Austrian roots: father John Anthony McMahon is Irish, his mother Waltraud McMahon is Austrian. Both are cooks. Shane McMahon is the youngest of four children. His older brother Frank McMahon is head chef at “Hank's Seafood Restaurant” and “Brasserie Gigi” in Charleston , South Carolina , USA . Shane McMahon completed his training as a chef from 1988 to 1991 in his parents' restaurant “Thisilldous” in Bunratty, County Clare , Ireland .

At the age of 21 he moved to Munich . After working as Chef de Partie in the starred restaurants Hotel Königshof at Bobby Bräuer and Tantris under chef Hans Haas , Shane McMahon started his own business in Munich in 2006, initially with the cooking studio "Shane's Kitchen", where he took cooking courses and regularly gave a supper Club hosted. Since 2009 he has been the owner and head chef of “Shane's Restaurant” and “Shane's Bar” in Munich, which he runs together with his wife Barbara McMahon.

Shane McMahon is the only Irish member of the "Chefs' Irish Beef Club".

He describes his style of cooking as European-Asian fusion cuisine .
