Martin "Bobby" Bräuer (born August 10, 1961 in Munich ) is a German chef .

Life

Bobby Bräuer did his apprenticeship with Otto Koch at “Le Gourmet” in Munich. From 1985 to 1987 he worked in the “fishing guild” under André Jaeger in Schaffhausen , then in the Swiss parlors under Dieter Müller . From 1991 to 1992 he was sous-chef at "Aubergine" at Eckart Witzigmann's in Munich. In 1994 he took over the “Restaurant Königshof” in Munich as head chef, for which he earned the Michelin star (Bräuer's first own) and 18 points in Gault Millau .

In 2001 Bräuer went to the “Victorian” in Düsseldorf as managing director and chef de cuisine and in 2004 as kitchen director to “Die Quadriga” in the Hotel Brandenburger Hof in Berlin. He earned one Michelin star and 17 points in Gault Millau for both restaurants. In Berlin in 2007 he was also named Berlin Master Chef.

From November 2008 to the end of 2012, Bräuer cooked in the “Petit Tirolia” in Kitzbühel . The hotel's gourmet restaurant was one of the most outstanding kitchens in Austria under his management. Here he was awarded Chef of the Year 2012 by Gault Millau .

In February 2013, Bräuer moved to Munich for the opening of the BMW Welt gourmet restaurant “Dining Room” . The restaurant is operated by Feinkost Käfer . In 2013, the restaurant was dining in the Michelin Guide 2014 awarded one star and 18 Gault Millau points.

In November 2014, the “dining room” was awarded the second star in the 2015 Michelin Guide.

Bräuer is married.
