Shary Cheyenne Reeves (born May 10, 1969 in Cologne ) is a German actress , author , presenter , producer and former soccer player .

Life

Shary Reeves is the daughter of a Kenyan philosophy professor who worked for Deutsche Welle , where she met her mother from Tanzania , a nurse. Reeves spent her childhood in the state of New York and in the city of Cologne.

Reeves celebrated early musical successes with her siblings Andrew , Jim and Terry Reeves as " 4 Reeves ": In the early 1990s, the formation was one of the pioneers of German hip-hop and soul .

She worked as a photo assistant .

Shary Reeves has been employed by Westdeutscher Rundfunk since 1996 . In 2000 she played alongside Eckhard Preuß and Markus Knüfken in Matthias Lehmann's Ruhrpott film Doppelpack, a small role as a bartender at the Che'Coolala in Dortmund. From 2001 to 2003 she was part of the regular cast of the Marienhof soap opera . After a few contributions for Die Sendung mit der Maus , she hosted the show Wissen macht Ah! From 2001 to 2017 together with Ralph Caspers . and produces reports for Cosmo TV magazine .

Reeves played football at Borussia Kalk as a child , later she played for two years at SC 07 Bad Neuenahr and briefly at 1. FFC Frankfurt . In the 1990s she played in what was then the 1st Bundesliga at SC 07 Bad Neuenahr and was a candidate for the German U16 national team. She has the Trainer C license (entry level), was the FIFA ambassador for the city of Bochum for the U20 Women's World Cup and ambassador for the 2011 Women's World Cup . Together with the Höhner , she recorded the anthem Da simmer for the women's DFB Cup final .

She also played softball at the Cologne Cardinals and ice hockey . She is a snowboard and inline skate instructor, and she also knows ballet and modern jazz. As a marathon runner, she started regularly in Cologne and Münster, among others.

In 2011 she published the women's football book One for all, all for one .

On August 13, 2011 Reeves hosted the sports program Saturday LIVE for the first time together with Thomas Pommer ! on the pay TV broadcaster Sky .

In 2016, Reeves' brother Jim was tortured and murdered by two men.

Together with Sonja Fuss, Reeves runs the “Siegerypen” agency for sports management and support for athletes. Her sister Terry Reeves is a hip-hop dancer and her daughter, her niece Noemi Reeves, took part in DSDS Kids in 2012 when she was 10 .

Shary Reeves is the godmother of the non-profit association KIDsmiling - a project for children and young people in need .
