Shawn Patterson
Shawn Michael Patterson (born September 14, 1965 in Athol , Massachusetts ) is an American film composer and songwriter .
Life
Patterson began his career in the early 1990s as a production assistant and has since worked mainly as a composer and songwriter for animated series . Among other things, he worked on The Ren & Stimpy Show and Robot Chicken . For the Disney -Filmproduktion The Lego Movie he wrote with Joshua Bartholomew , Lisa Harriton and The Lonely Iceland titled Everything Is Awesome . In the pop version produced by Mark Mothersbaugh , the single reached placements in the UK Top 40 and the US Billboard Hot 100 . There she was awarded a gold record for 500,000 units sold .
Patterson was nominated for an Oscar in 2015 for Everything Is Awesome for Best Song and a Grammy for Music for Visual Media category.
