There he became a regular player before he decided the following year to England for Football League Two representatives FC Darlington . There, too, he was regularly called up in the starting line-up and prevailed. Due to his good performance, Martis attracted the attention of the Scottish first division club Hibernian Edinburgh . At the new club, the defender was able to win his first national title. In the final of the Scottish League Cup , his team prevailed 5-1 against FC Kilmarnock . In the first half of his first season for the Hibs , Martis scored three own goals. With that he drew the anger of the fans. On September 25, he gave his debut game for the Baggies in the League Cup in a 4-2 win over Cardiff City . Martin made his league debut against Leicester City on December 8, 2007. In January, club officials decided to loan Martis to Scunthorpe United for a month . At the end of the season West Bromwich won the Football League Championship and rose to the Premier League . On October 31, 2008 it was announced that Martis was to be loaned for a month again. At Doncaster Rovers he should regain match practice. He made his debut for the Rovers on November 1st. Two weeks later, on November 15th, Martis scored his first goal for the new team. In February 2010, he signed a contract with Doncaster Rovers that ran until the end of June 2013.
