Shipwrecked in Oslo is the first live DVD by the Norwegian metal band Arcturus . She appeared on Season of Mist in 2006 .

Creation and publication

Arcturus went on a European tour after the release of Sideshow Symphonies . The performance in Oslo's Rockefeller Music Hall on September 24, 2005 as part of the Sonic Solstice Festival was recorded in sound and image. The DVD was released the following year. In addition to more than a dozen songs from all of the band's creative periods, it contains a music video , a video of rehearsals and a picture gallery.

The Finnish label Blood Music reissued Shipwrecked in Oslo 2014 in limited CD and double LP versions. Compared to the DVD of Season of Mist, the intro and two solos were cut out.

“Acoustically, the stranded celebrate a spectacle that nourishes the thought of overdubs. Seldom has one experienced such a transparent, balanced sound. […] [N] the DVD […] unfortunately does not have too much luggage with it for the approximately one and a half hour presentation of the stranded.
