Competitions
As in every major short track event, the junior world champion is determined in an all- around competition . All athletes start separately by gender on the three routes over 1500 meters, 500 meters and 1000 meters. The distances are run in this order for three consecutive days. The finalists of each competition will receive 34, 21, 13, 8, 5, 3, 2 and 1 point according to the finish line. If only four or six athletes run the final at a distance, only these athletes get points, the rest are forfeited. After adding up these points, a provisional overall classification is created, the eight leaders of which run another 1,500 meter race. The points awarded here are also added to those already received, so that the best point wins the title of junior world champion.
In the relays, the semi-finals are run first, and the finals on the last day of competition. The final entry decides on the placement.
Results
The best athletes are first named in the final ranking, followed by the results on the individual routes. In the results of the individual competitions, all semi-final participants and also all athletes from Germany, Austria or Switzerland are mentioned.
