Siberian Education (original title: Educazione Siberiana ) is a film adaptation of the book of the same name "Educazione Siberiana" by Nicolai Lilin , which was published in 2009.

The film tells the story of two best friends Kolyma (Arnas Fedaravicius) and Gagarin (Vilius Tumalavicius), in the present and the past, who grew up under the care of grandfather Kuzya (John Malkovich) in a criminal organization with a Siberian background called Urki Were "trained". This criminal clan is largely dedicated to robbery and theft and has a code of honor that has been in place for several generations. After the young Gagarin is released after a seven-year prison sentence, he begins to make quick money through dishonorable crimes and thereby turns his former best friends into mortal enemies.
