Siegfried Rappenecker

Siegfried Rappenecker (born November 16, 1962 in Seelbach ) is a German musician, conductor and managing director of the music publisher Golden Wind.

Life

Siegfried Rappenecker began his orchestral music studies at the State University of Music in Karlsruhe at the age of 17 , which he successfully completed in 1987 in the subjects of trumpet, piano, chamber music and orchestral music. During his time as a student, he started teaching students in 1980, led the wind orchestra as a conductor and was employed as an auxiliary trumpeter at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe from 1984 to 1986 . During his military service from 1983 to 1984 he was the 1st trumpeter member of the Army Music Corps 5 in Koblenz .

He completed several seminars with musicians and conductors such as Bo Nielson , Edward H. Tarr , Otto Sautter , Felix Hauswirth , Josef Suilen , Pavel Stanek and Jochen Wehner . After he was permanently employed at the Offenburg Music School from 1987 to 1993 , he began to work as a freelance teacher. From 1990 to 1993 he was an association conductor at BV Ortenau, and in 1996 he founded and led the symphonic association wind orchestra Kinzigtal, which was renamed the project orchestra 'ZEWO - Musik der Zeit' in 1999 and led four other orchestras. At Mid Europe in Schladming, two works by Rappenecker were premiered at a gala concert with the World Youth Orchestra. Through project concerts and his work as a conductor, he is always in close contact with contemporary composers such as Bert Appermont , Peter Kleine Schaars , Rolf Rudin , Pavel Stanek, Siegfried Rundel , Kurt Gäble and Markus Götz . Rappenecker acts as a leader for gold courses and as a lecturer for further training courses in conductors. He is also involved in youth work, which, in addition to the founding and management of several youth orchestras, is also reflected in the fact that in 2001 he became chairman of the BDB's Bläserjugend and held this office for almost 10 years before he was elected Federal Music Director in 2010.

He currently directs the Elzach town music and the Oberharmersbach militia and traditional costume band. With the Militia and Trachtenkapelle Oberharmersbach he won four gold medals at the World Music Contest in Kerkrade in 1993, 2005, 2009 and 2017. As managing director of Golden Wind GmbH, he offers optimal service in the field of wind orchestras with an online sheet music shop.

On March 9, 2013, Siegfried Rappenecker was appointed the new conductor of the Freiburg Symphony Orchestra at the OBV general meeting and gave his first concert on November 10, 2013 with guest conductor Franco Cesarini .

From 2014 to 2017 he took the professional degree "Metafoor - Conducting Wind Orchestras" with Alex Schillings and Rob Goorhuis. In January 2018 he received his diploma and conducted the music corps of the German Armed Forces at the final exam concert.
