Siegfried Wald

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Siegfried Wald (* before 1940; † between 1991 and 2010) was a German actor and radio play speaker .

Life

The stage actor Siegfried Wald rarely appeared in film and television. Best known is his starring role as Bartels in the miniseries The Riddle of the Sandbank which is based on the novel by Robert Erskine Childers and was broadcast as a feature film in 1987 . He was also seen in Rose Bernd , Das Kuckucksei , The task of Dr. med. Graefe and Lebewohl, Strangers and played episode roles in series such as Tatort , PS - stories about the car or Alsterstrasse .

His work in radio plays became better known primarily from the Hamburg company Europa . Wald's sonorous voice, which predestined him for tough and unsympathetic characters, was often in The Three ??? or a case for TKKG to hear. He seldom worked as a voice actor for television, for example in Magnum or Bonanza .

His last verifiable work dates from 1991. Since then nothing is known about his life. The radio play producer Heikedine Körting made a written question and answer session with fans about Siegfried Wald at the end of 2010 and announced that he had died after a long illness. His death between 1991 and 2010 can therefore be considered certain.
