Sigurd Hauff

Sigurd Hauff OBE (born July 24, 1935 in Tübingen ) is a German SPD politician.

Hauff completed a history, German and English studies and became a member of the SPD in 1958. His younger brother is the former Federal Minister Volker Hauff (* 1940).

In 1971 he was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives and was a member of the parliamentary group's executive committee. From 1992 to 1995, Hauff was district mayor in Berlin-Spandau . Since Spandau was the garrison town of the British armed forces stationed in Berlin until 1994, he received the title of Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) from Queen Elizabeth II in 1993 .

In 2004 Hauff received the honorary title of City Elder of Berlin .
