Karl Schilling (politician, 1890)
Karl Schilling (born April 14, 1890 in Spandau , † April 10, 1963 in Berlin ) was a German politician ( SPD ).
Schilling worked as a lathe operator . In 1913 he became a member of the SPD and from 1919 a district councilor. From 1926 to 1933 he was a property manager and later a demolition manager .
After the Second World War , Schilling became district councilor for housing in the Spandau district . In the election to the city council of Greater Berlin in 1946 , he was elected, but resigned in January 1947, as he continued to work in the Spandau district office. In February 1949, the previous district mayor Gottlob Münsinger died , so that Schilling was elected as the new district mayor. Georg Ramin was his successor in 1954 .
