Siiri Schütz

Siiri Schütz (born July 26, 1974 in Berlin ) is a German concert pianist.

Artistic career

Siiri Schütz began her career in 1991 when she stepped in for Claudio Arrau in the Cologne Philharmonic and for Murray Perahia in the Düsseldorf Tonhalle. In the same year she made her debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker under the direction of Claudio Abbado . Since then she has performed as a soloist a. a. again with the Berliner Philharmoniker, Konzerthausorchester Berlin , Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich , MDR-Sinfonieorchester, Berner Symphoniker, Solistes Europeen Luxemburg, Hessisches Staatsorchester, Norddeutsche Philharmonie, Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt under the direction of Claudio Abbado, Claus Peter Flor , Wolf Dieter Hausschild, Toshiyuki Kamioka , Peter Schneider u. a. on. She successfully completed her studies in 2004 with the concert exam with Pavel Gililov at the Cologne University of Music .

She appeared at many important festivals, such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Ruhr Piano Festival , the Berlin Festival Weeks , the Rheingau Music Festival, the Schwetzinger Mozart Weeks and the Bayreuth Festival.

She played solo recitals a. a. in London's Steinway Hall, the Tonhalle Zurich, the Alte Oper Frankfurt, the Herkulessaal in Munich, the Berlin Philharmonic, in the Friedrichstadtkirche and the French Cathedral in Berlin, in the Lingotto Turin, in Rome and at the Bard Music Festival in New York.

Other highlights were an appearance at the World Bank Conference in Washington and appearances in Bellevue Palace for Federal Presidents Richard von Weizsäcker and Horst Köhler .
