Sikås is a place in the Swedish province of Jämtlands län and the historic province of Jämtland .
Sikås consists of two districts: Sikås (västra delen) , the "western part" which was last designated as småort in 2005 with 58 inhabitants on an area of 61 hectares and is located near the train station, and the one to two kilometers away, loosely developed "eastern part" Sikås (östra delen), 2015 småort with 110 inhabitants on an area of 78 hectares (2005). The total population has fallen by around two thirds since the 1950s.
The closest larger town ( Tatort ) is Hammerdal about seven kilometers southeast. The inland railway stops in the small Jämtlands Sikås station during the summer months . Länsväg 344 runs through the village from Hammerdal towards Föllinge .
A well-known resident of Sikås is the violinist Lars Fresk, who was successful with the string quartet Freskkvartetten in Sweden from the 1970s to the 1980s .
