Silas Kipngetich Sang

Silas Kipngetich Sang (born August 21, 1978 ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specializes in road running.

Life

In 2006 he won the Torremolinos and Málaga half marathons and came second in the Madrid marathon . In 2007 he defended his title in Torremolinos, finished sixth in the Portugal half marathon and won the Los Palacios half marathon.

In 2008 his third victory in Torremolinos was followed by triumphs in the 15 km of Massamagrell and the Albacete half marathon and a second place in Göteborgsvarvet . In the Portugal half marathon he set a course record with 1:01:28 and beat the favorite Paul Tergat . In 2009 he improved the course record to 1:00:20 h in the same competition.

In 2011, after finishing third in the Lisbon Marathon , he returned to the 42.195 km distance and was fourth in the Ottawa Marathon . In the autumn he achieved his third victory in the Portugal half marathon. In 2012 he finished second in the Nagano Marathon .
