Silva Verbič (born March 31, 2002 ) is a Slovenian Nordic combined skier and ski jumper .
Career
Silva Verbič competes in both ski jumping and Nordic combined competitions. In ski jumping, she mainly takes part in competitions of the Alpine Cup, for the first time on January 9 and 10, 2016 in Kranj , where she finished 25th and 23rd. Her best placements so far (as of March 2020) were two third places in Schonach in the Black Forest in January 2019 and in Klingenthal in August 2019.
In the Nordic Combined, Verbič started on the international level for the first time on December 17, 2016 as part of the Nordic Combined Alpine Cup in Rastbüchl , where she finished eighth. Since then, further competitions have followed regularly. Verbič made his debut in Otepää on January 6, 2019, finishing ninth in the Continental Cup . On 23-25 August 2019, she also made her debut at the competitions in Oberwiesenthal in the Grand Prix . Here she took 17th place in the individual competition and ninth and penultimate place in the team competition together with Ema Volavšek , Rok Jelen and Vid Vrhovnik . After participating in further competitions, at the end of the season she finished 23rd in the overall standings with 26 points.
At the end of December 2019, Verbič won the title at the Slovenian championships in Planica .
At the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne in January 2020, Verbič reached twelfth place in the individual competition as eighth after jumping.
