Simen Key Grimsrud (born March 22, 1992 in Asker ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper .
Career
Simen Grimsrud jumped to a podium on July 29, 2006 on the Great Olympic Hill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in a junior competition: On the HS89 hill, he was second behind Jan Mayländer . Simen Grimsrud's greatest success in the junior area was winning the gold medal at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2012 in Erzurum in team jumping on the normal hill.
Since 2008 he has been jumping in the seniors, first in the FIS Cup and since the 2009/10 season in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . He celebrated his first victory in an FIS Cup show jumping on December 9, 2011 in Notodden . On February 4, 2012, he finished second behind Anders Fannemel in the Continental Cup on the Inselbergschanze in Brotterode . Grimsrud collected his first world cup points in the ski jumping world cup in the second competition of the 2012/13 season on November 25, 2012 at HS138- Lysgårdsbakken in Lillehammer with his 28th place.
With the team from Akershus he won the Norwegian team championship 2013 on the normal hill in Rena with Kim René Elverum Sorsell , Espen Enger Halvorsen and Tom Hilde in November 2012 .
