Simona Vrzalová (born April 7, 1988 ) is a Czech athlete who competes in medium and long-distance running .

Athletic career

Simona Vrzalová was already active as a track and field athlete in adolescence, but has only concentrated on it intensively since 2016. In 2017 she qualified for the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade in the 1500 meter run , where she was eliminated with 4: 14.31 minutes in the lead. In the summer she also took part in the World Championships in London , but could not finish her preliminary run there. The following year she retired from the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham with 4: 14.11 min in the preliminary round and from the European Championships in Berlinshe took fifth place in the final in 4: 06.46 minutes. In 2019 she was sixth at the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow in 4: 12.16 minutes.

In 2016, 2017 and 2020 , Vrzalová was the Czech champion in the 5000-meter run outdoors, and in 2016 and 2020 also over 1500 meters and in 2018 she won the 800-meter run . In the hall she won over 3000 meters in 2017 and over 1500 meters in 2018 and 2019.
