The Simonds Farson Cisk plc is a brewery. Farson is the parent company for ten other companies in Malta and emerged from the Cisk brewery. Cisk operates in many food sectors, but mainly in the beer industry. It has been producing beer since 1928 .
history
In the early 1920s, L. Farrugia & Sons (known as Farsons) made the move into the brewing business and set up their first brewery in Ħamrun . In 1928 the first beer brewed by Farsons, Farsons Pale Ale, was launched. In 1929 Farsons merged with the importer H&G Simonds, who had been sending large quantities of beer to Malta since 1880 to meet the strong demand from the British garrison . In 1948 there were successful merger talks with rival Malta Export Brewery, from which Simonds Farson Cisk Limited emerged.
The new brewery building was inaugurated in 1950 and is still in Mriehel today. In 1995, Simonds Farson Cisk became the first wholly privately held company to be listed on the Maltese Stock Exchange.
In 2008 the operating area extended over an area of 24,000 m². In 1990 a brewing process block was inaugurated, and further investments of Lm 14 mio. (€ 32.9 million) in a new brewery, a new distribution center and a new packaging hall for non-alcoholic beverages.

According to its own statements, Farsons is Malta's largest beverage producer. In addition to the Cisk Brewery, the Farson Group also has other subsidiaries in the food industry.
EcoPure Ltd.
EcoPure is the bottler and supplier of San Michel table water for water dispensers. The company was founded in 1995.
Farsons Beverage Imports Company Ltd.
The Farsons Beverage Imports Company imports various wines, beers, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages to Malta. The most famous include Perrier , Campari , Absolut , Havana Club , Jägermeister , Jim Beam , Rémy Martin , Guinness , Beck’s , Corona , Strongbow and Red Bull .
Food Chain Ltd.
Farsons founded Food Chain in 1993 to operate restaurants on a franchise basis. Food chain is u. a. Licensee of Pizza Hut , Burger King and KFC .
Quintano & Co. Ltd.
In 2004 Farsons took over Quintano & Co., a food importer. Are imported u. a. Bayernland , Bonduelle , Chiquita and Danone products.

Trident is the owner, administrator and developer of the Farsons Group's corporate values and properties.
