Simone Grippo (born December 12, 1988 in Ettingen ) is a Swiss football player .
Career
The midfielder began his professional career at FC Basel , where he was regularly used in the U-21 team, but did not make the leap into the first team. He was then awarded to FC Concordia Basel , where he became an integral part of the team and was able to establish himself as a regular player. After the loan period expired in the summer of 2008, Grippo did not return to FC Basel, but instead moved the club to AC Bellinzona again on loan .
However, his stint at AC Bellinzona ended very quickly (he did not play a single game) because only a month later the Italian Serie A promoted AC Chievo Verona signed him. There he could not prevail in the first attempt and only played two league games. In February 2009 the loan to the second division Piacenza Calcio followed . The midfielder has appeared in three Serie B matches in Piacenza and returned to Chievo Verona in the summer of 2009. After Grippo was again unable to impose himself, he left the club again on loan and joined the third division club AC Lumezzane . The 2010–11 season he plays on loan at Frosinone Calcio in Serie B.
In the summer of 2011, Grippo moved to Lugano and a year later, in the summer of 2012, he moved to Servette . After the 2012/13 season, his contract with Servette was not renewed. After half a year without a club, he moved to FC Vaduz on December 19, 2013 .
