Sinan Özkan (born March 22, 1988 in Saint-Étienne ) is a French - Turkish football player .

Career

society

Özkan was born as the son of Turkish guest workers in Saint-Étienne . Here he began with club football at the age of twelve in the youth of AS Saint-Étienne . From AS Saint-Étienne, he moved in 2005 to the then Turkish second division club Türk Telekomspor . Here he received a professional contract and immediately played in 17 league games for the professional team.

For the new season he moved to the first division Manisaspor . Here he only played once in a league and once in a cup game until the winter break. For the second half of the 2006/07 season he was loaned to the second division team Samsunspor .

In the summer of 2007 he returned to Manisaspor and came here sporadically for missions. He spent the 2008/09 season on loan from the second division club Giresunspor . For the next summer he moved to Giresunspor along with the transfer. Here he stayed without having played a game until the winter break.

So he moved to the third division Fethiyespor for the winter break . By the end of the season he had nine league games here. For the 2010/11 season he moved to Tokatspor within the league . Here he convinced from the start and scored nine goals in 32 league games.

For the 2011/12 season he then switched to TFF-1. Lig promoted Elazığspor . Here he immediately established himself as a top performer on his team and was the player with the most hits. On the penultimate matchday, they made the safe promotion to the Süper Lig .

After this success with Elazığspor he stayed in the squad for the next season and completed a first division game on the first match day. Shortly before the end of the summer transfer period, the coaching staff informed him that they were planning with him in the Süper Lig and suggested a move to him. Özkan agreed and a short time later moved to the second division Torku Konyaspor . He left Konyaspor for the winter break and went to league rivals Adana Demirspor .

In the summer of 2013 Özkan hired Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor . For the 2014/15 season he moved to the new second division Alanyaspor . He ended the 2015/16 season with this club as the play-off winner of the TFF 1st Lig and rose with him to the Süper Lig.

In the summer transfer period 2016/17 he moved to the second division Yeni Malatyaspor and half a season to Göztepe Izmir . With the latter he also achieved the play-off victory of the TFF 1. Lig and thus promotion to the Süper Lig. After this success, his contract was terminated prematurely by mutual agreement.

For the 2017/18 season he was signed by the second division Giresunspor and one season later by Afjet Afyonspor .

National team

Sinan Özkan played five times for the Turkish U-21 national youth team in 2006 .
