Since 2006, SinnerSchrader has been organizing the “NEXT Conference”, one of the most important industry meetings for the digital economy .

history

In 1996 Oliver Sinner (born on September 3, 1968 in Grömitz ) and Matthias Schrader founded the company as a company under civil law . About a year later, it was converted into a limited liability company and finally into a public company in 1999 to facilitate the involvement of outside investors. The head office was set up in the former Johannes Krause tannery machine factory in Hamburg-Ottensen . Electronic trading was a focus of SinnerSchrader's business .

In order to finance further growth, SinnerSchrader went to the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in November 1999 . As a result, the company earned around 28 million euros, some of which were distributed back to shareholders after the dot-com bubble burst . SinnerSchrader was hit hard by the collapse of the Neuer Markt: Sales collapsed, although the company's continued existence was never endangered due to sufficient liquidity . SinnerSchrader reacted to the industry crisis with downsizing and short-time work , among other things . In 2002 Oliver Sinner left the company.

The savings program had an effect, and SinnerSchrader was in the black for the first time in the 2004/2005 financial year. The company's survival after the dot-com bubble is therefore considered exemplary of the former new economy . Regardless of this, SinnerSchrader was included in the 2005 ranking of the largest capital destroyers by the German Association for Protection of Securities Holdings, which SinnerSchrader, however, questioned due to its unclean methodology.

In the following years, e-commerce remained an important business area for SinnerSchrader. The company used the global financial crisis from 2007 to grow through acquisitions. Furthermore, an advertising agency was founded in 2010 that specialized in brand communication in the digital space. In 2012 it received the Red Dot Design Award in the communication category for its brand identity. In the 2010s, SinnerSchrader expanded its range of services to include other areas such as business intelligence and data management . The company became the leading agency in the “Business Transformation” segment in the ranking of the German Digital Economy Association . In 2017, the offering in the areas of data analytics and data science was expanded and the advisory area was established.

In 2017, the international management and technology consultancy Accenture announced that it would take over the majority of the shares in SinnerSchrader. The media commented positively on the move, as it enables Accenture to expand its digital competence and enables SinnerSchrader to grow further. The company is given the opportunity to strengthen its international presence and gain recognition worldwide. In a first step, Accenture Digital Holdings secured around 62% of the share capital and voting rights of SinnerSchrader and then increased its stake further. The new owners are aiming to squeeze out the minority shareholders. The business of Accenture Interactive and SinnerSchrader will be continued separately for a transitional period.
