The album Sister Feelings Call is the fourth studio album by Simple Minds , which was released at the same time as the album Sons and Fascination .
history
The album Sons and Fascination was released on the same day as the album Sister Feelings Call . Both albums are basically one album, but there are a lot of different explanations to explain the two releases. The number of songs didn't fit an album and you didn't want to miss out on a song. A double album was obvious, but the record company didn't like it. The exact background remains unclear in any case.
With Steve Hillage they had found a producer who managed to put his stamp on the whole album. It sounds very uniform, effects were used much more sparingly and precision was paramount in order to implement the band's ideas in the sound.
The American was released as a single.
When it was re-released on CD, Sister Feelings Call was integrated into the album Sons and Fascination and not re-released separately. In 2012 the album was re-released in the X5 box set from Virgin Records as part of a double CD with Sons and Fascination with 2 bonus tracks.
