action
After Aegidius Plato, the senile mayor of Bushtown, has become too old, he allows a new election. Kroko, a Bushtown garbage collector, is chosen to succeed the mayor due to a mistake. Together with his friends from the garbage facility, Kroko settles in the mayor's luxurious villa. The hated crocodile will be in charge of Bushtown from now on. Through corruption and meanness, Croco soon has all of Bushtown in his clutches. While outwardly he wants to make himself more popular with hypocritical but credible methods, he only has his own enrichment in mind. Among other things, he washes money, steals from the birds and builds illegal dams. Skippy, the bush pilot and his friends can use a lot of ingenuity to thwart the plans of Kroko, his wife Ottilie and his henchmen. However, there are also the people Skippy has to assert himself against. Fortunately, Skippy usually manages to save Bushtown.
Bushtown is about the size of Sydney and inhabited by millions of intelligent beings. Most of the mammals are the kangaroos . The reptiles that make crocodiles from the largest number, however, most residents of Bushtown are birds . The city is expanding, according to Skippy's explanation.
The figures
- Skippy is a kangaroo who wears a baseball cap and is always helpful and, above all, smart. His job is actually a park ranger in Bushtown National Park, but he has other jobs too when it comes to helping the people of Bushtown. Together with his friends, he thwarts the plans of the devious mayor Kroko. At the end of each episode, he winks his right eye, lifts his thumb up and says, "Great."
- Mathilda is a lovely kangaroo lady and Skippy's friend. She is a journalist for Bushtown TV and produces the news program and show Good Evening Bushtown . She is also very resourceful when it comes to preventing Krokos' plans with Skippy.
- Pos is a Bürstenschwaz possum. He operates the camera on Mathilda's TV team. He is always there when Kroko steps in again and then somehow has to talk his way out in front of the camera. He speaks very rarely in the entire series, which becomes a running gag .
- Bobo is a wombat and is responsible for the technology in Mathilda's studio. He too is always ready to stop Kroko. Little is known about him. He's been a very good friend of Skippy's for many years.
- Professor McZWEISein is a crane and the only scientist from Bushtown. Kroko likes to misuse his inventions, but he manages to produce some helpful remedies for Skippy. He is undoubtedly brilliant and also seems to have a streak for medicine and philosophy. He lives in a house that looks like a giant tree nut.
- Miss Emma is the gracious housekeeper in Professor McZ Zweistein's house. She has some good tips ready to help Skippy. She is an avowed monarchist.
- A devious crocodile, Kroko is the unduly elected mayor of Bushtown. He keeps making plans to enrich himself. Together with his three henchmen, he hatches plans that should actually work if it weren't for Skippy ...
- Ottilie is the wife of Mayor Kroko. She is addicted to power and always wants to be in the spotlight. Mathilda is a thorn in her side because Mathilda always manages to put Ottilie in the right light, that is, to make her look bad. Ottilie is also almost addicted to luxury, wealth and limitless political power.
- Pusher, slider and chervil are the three henchmen of Kroko. Drücker is a gnu, Schieber is a warthog with a chauffeur's cap and gloves, and Kerbel is a rat who works as a chauffeur. They are the ones who have to carry out Krokos plans and screw up some things with their nonsense.
