Skotawa (German Schottow , formerly also Schotthof and Schottof ) is a small river in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship , which runs along the Stolpetal Landscape Protection Park (Polish: Park Krajobrazowy Dolina Słupi), in which it rises and into which it then flows Flows southeast to northwest.
The Skotawa rises in the Jezioro Lipieniec Duże south of the village Łupawsko ( Lupowske, 1938-1945 Grünental, today the municipality of Czarna Dąbrówka ) on the southwest bank of the Jezioro Jasień ( Jassener See ). On its 44.6-kilometer route to the mouth of the Stolpe (Polish: Słupia), it first flows through the two lakes Jezioro Skotawsko Wielkie [Duże] ( Great Schottofske Lake , 1938–1945 Great Schottowsee ) and Jezioro Skotawsko Małe ( Kleiner Schottofske) See , 1938–1945 Kleiner Schottowsee ) before it forms the characteristic image of a meander in its bendy course .
In its course, the Skotawa initially crosses the Powiat Bytowski ( Bütow district ) and, after leaving the Stolpetal landscape protection park, enters the Słupski powiat ( Stolp district ) after a few kilometers , before it then re-enters the landscape protection park southwest of Dobieszewo ( Groß Dübsow ) and flows through it to the point where it flows into the Stolpe .
Along the river are the towns Skotawsko ( Schottofske , 1938-1945 Schottow ) Nożyno ( United Nossin ) and Nożynko ( small Nossin ) the municipality Czarna Dąbrówka ( Black Damerkow ) and Jawory ( Gaffert ) Jamrzyno ( Jamrin ) Dębnica Kaszubska ( Rathsdamnitz ) and Skarszów Dolny ( Unter Scharsow ) of the Dębnica Kaszubska municipality.
Today the Skotawa is an attraction for tourists and especially for kayakers .
