Slavko Osterc
Slavko Osterc (born June 17, 1895 in Veržej ; † May 23, 1941 in Ljubljana ) was a Yugoslav composer.
Osterc studied at the Prague Conservatory with Karel Boleslav Jirák , Vítězslav Novák and Alois Hába . Until 1939 he taught at the Conservatory, then at the Ljubljana Music Academy . He composed six operas and five ballets , a symphony , two symphonic poems and five symphonic pieces, a bagatelle, a suite, an overture , a concerto and a passacaglia for orchestra, a concerto for piano and wind instruments, chamber music works, piano and organ pieces , Choral works and songs . He also wrote a theory of harmony .
