Slibovice is located on the upper reaches of the Štítarský potok on the East Bohemian table. The Nádavka ( Wiklek , 226 m) rises north of the village . In the south, the railway runs from Chlumec nad Cidlinou to Městec Králové , where the “Lovčice” station is not far from the former sugar factory.

history

The first written mention of the village was in 1365 in connection with a Buzconis de Slywouicz . The village was a Vladikensitz and was owned by the Šlibovský. Under Burian Šlibovský von Skřivany the rule reached its greatest extent. The villages of Velké Výkletice, Kněžičky and Lovčice also belonged to Slibovice at that time .

After the Battle of White Mountain , the Šlibovský initially lost all their goods as rebels. In 1621 Albrecht von Waldstein bought the goods and after his murder they were confiscated by the emperor. In 1627 it was sold to Count Wenceslas Kinsky on Kolín . In 1631 the sisters Johanna, married Dobřenský and Helena Anna, married Czartoryski got a third of the property back. They sold the property to Johann Octavian Graf Kinsky in 1645. He was followed by Anna Marie von Bleileben, who, together with Vykleky, left the village to the Strahov Monastery to settle a debt . The monastery sold both villages to the captain of Poděbrady , Wenzel Albrecht Wltawský von Mannschwerdt and Helfenburg. Ferdinand Leopold Kustosch Freiherr von Zubří and Lipka acquired the goods from his son Wenzel Matthias in 1673. Then the Counts Kinsky bought both villages on Chlumetz . In 1803 an imperial road was built south of the village. In the middle of the 19th century, Josef Kvěch leased the Hlínov and Slibovice farms. He built a sugar factory in a granary on Kaiserstrasse near Slibowitz and also produced beet syrup in Hlínov with horse power. The jobs created thereby led to the growth of the village.

After the abolition of patrimonial Slivovice formed from 1850 a district of the political municipality Výkleky in the Poděbrady district . The village of Šlibovice was established in 1886 and has been called Slibovice since 1904 . In 1901 the railway from Chlumetz to Königstädtel was inaugurated, which was given a train station at the sugar factory. After the sugar factory was closed in 1920, the building was converted into a mill. On January 1, 1961, Slibovice was incorporated into Běrunice and at the same time came to Okres Nymburk . In 1991 the place had 59 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 27 houses in which 50 people lived.
