Slobodan Tedić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Слободан Тедић ; born April 13, 2000 in Podgorica , Federal Republic of Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian football player who is under contract with the English first division club Manchester City . The striker has been a Serbian U21 international since September 2019 .

The in today's Montenegrin capital Podgorica , then Federal Republic of Yugoslavia , Slobodan born TEDIC comes from the youth development program of FK Vojvodina in the Serbian Novi Sad . On August 31, 2017, the striker moved to the youth team of the Belgrade club FK Čukarički , where he was called to the first team after a short time. On September 20, 2017, he made his debut in the 3-0 cup win against FK Jagodina for the men, when he came on for Ognjen Mudrinski in the 65th minute of the game . He played his first game in the top Serbian league about a month later in a 0-0 draw against FK Javor Ivanjica , when he was allowed to replace Samuel Owusu after 68 minutes . Towards the end of the 2017/18 season he established himself as a substitute and scored his first league goal in this role on May 17, 2018 (37th match day) in the 6-1 home defeat against his former club FK Vojvodina. In total, he played eight league games this season, in which he scored a goal.

In the following 2018/19 season , Tedić continued to develop into a regular and after eleven match days he had already scored four goals this season. The final breakthrough was denied to him in this season, mainly because he then could not score until the end of the season. On July 11, 2019, he scored a brace in a 3-0 home win against the Armenian FC Urartu Yerevan in qualifying for the UEFA Europa League, and he netted again in the 5-0 win in the second leg. In this 2019/20 season he established himself in the starting line-up of head coach Aleksandar Veselinović . On September 6, 2019, the English first division club Manchester City secured the services of the talented striker for a transfer fee of three million euros outside the transfer window. The transfer was completed on January 14, 2020, but Tedić was immediately loaned to FK Čukarički until the end of the season. There he improved his goal rate significantly in the second half of the season, including scoring all three of his team's goals in the 3-2 cup win against FK Radnički Niš on June 4, 2020. This season he scored nine goals and one assist in 27 league appearances.

National team

With the Serbian U17 national team , Slobodan Tedić took part in the U17 European Championship 2017 in Croatia , where he was used in all three group matches of the selection. In December 2017 he played an international match for the U18 . Between September 2018 and March 2019 he was then used in eleven U19 games in which he did not score.

Tedić has been a Serbian U21 international since September 2019 .
