Sofie Krehl (born September 22, 1995 ) is a German cross-country skier . She has been part of the customs ski team since 2016 .

Career

Krehl took in 2014 in Val di Fiemme at the Junior World Championships in part, where he was 35th in the sprint. In February 2014 she made her debut in the Alpencup in Oberwiesenthal , where she was eleventh over 10 km classic and finished second in the freestyle relay. At the Junior World Championships 2015 in Almaty , Krehl won bronze in the relay and was tenth in the sprint and 27th in the skiathlon . In December 2015, she achieved her first top ten placements in the Alpine Cup in Prémanon with tenth place over 10 km freestyle and eighth place over 10 km classic. A week later Krehl was seventh in the sprint in Hochfilzen . In January 2016, she achieved fourth place over 10 km classic in Planica for the first time among the top five. In the same month she ran her first World Cup race in Nové Město and came in seventh place with the relay. One month later Krehl was fourth again in the sprint in Campra and achieved her first podium finish in the Alpine Cup as third in the 10 km classic pursuit race. At the U23 World Championships 2016 in Rasnov , she finished 24th over 10 km classic and eighth over 10 km freestyle and sprint. At the end of the season, she achieved seventh place in the overall ranking of the Alpine Cup. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season, she started in Davos for the first time in the World Cup singles and scored her first points with 28th place in the sprint. In the further course of the season she reached four podium positions in the Alpine Cup, including first place in the 10 km mass start race in Goms and thus finished eighth in the overall standings. At the U23 World Championships 2017 in Soldier Hollow , she achieved 12th place in the skiathlon, 11th place over 10 km freestyle and fifth place in the sprint. At the season highlight of the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti , she achieved 17th place in the sprint and 16th place in the skiathlon. In March 2017 she finished third at the German cross-country skiing championships in Oberwiesenthal together with Lisa Scheufele in the team sprint. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol , she finished 28th in the sprint and 25th in the skiathlon.
