Sokratis Fytanidis (also Fitanidis ; Greek Σωκράτης Φυτανίδης , born May 25, 1984 in Koufalia , Chalkidona ) is a Greek football player . The central defender was most recently under contract with Levadiakos .

Career

Fytanidis began his career in his hometown with PAO Koufalia. In 2002 he went to Apollon Kalamarias . After more than five seasons for the club, he moved to Asteras Tripoli in 2008 . Since July 1st 2011 he has been playing for Atromitos Athens . On October 19, 2014, he played his 100th league game for Atromitos in the 2-1 defeat at PAOK Thessaloniki . After the 2016/17 season he left the club and was without a club until the end of February 2018 before joining Gaz Metan Mediaș until the end of the season. After another six months without a club, Fytanidis signed a club with the Cypriot first division club Enosis Neon Paralimni in January 2019 . At the beginning of September 2019 he moved to Levadiakos ; His contract there was terminated at the end of January 2020.

National team

Fytanidis played 13 times for the Greek U21 team between 2004 and 2005 and scored one goal. 2013 he stood for friendly matches against Switzerland and Austria twice a cadre of senior national team , but was not used.
