Sondermoning ( bair . : Summaring ) is a church village in the municipality of Nussdorf in the district of Traunstein .

history

Neuamerang Castle in Sondermoning was the seat of a court marque held by the nobles of Amerang from the 14th century until the death of the last Amerang in 1528. The Hofmark was bought by Count Franz Guidobald von Törring zu Pertenstein in 1694. The castle was already used as a quarry in the middle of the 18th century. In 1818, with the municipal edict in Bavaria, the municipality of Sondermoning was created, which had no other districts. In 1867 there were 133 inhabitants in 32 families in the municipality. It was incorporated into Nussdorf on January 3, 1870.

Architectural monuments

The Catholic branch church St. Nikolaus and Johannes Baptist is essentially Romanesque . The choir and aisle are Gothic and date from the late 15th century.
