Neuamerang Castle

Neuamerang Castle is an abandoned castle in the parish village of Sondermoning in the municipality of Nußdorf in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein .

history

Neuamerang Castle in Sondermoning was the seat of a court marque held by the nobles of Amerang from the 14th century until the death of the last Amerang in 1528. The Hofmark was bought by Count Franz Guidobald von Törring zu Pertenstein in 1694. The castle was already used as a quarry in the middle of the 18th century.

description

The castle was a three-storey building with a gable roof and farm buildings and outbuildings. Today only one well shaft has been preserved from the system.
