The Dorfen section fortification is an abandoned medieval hilltop castle ( section wall ) at 460  m above sea level. NHN high mountain foothills above the Alztal between Wasserburgerstrasse and Tahlhamer Strasse near Dorfen , a district of Altenmarkt an der Alz in the Traunstein district in Bavaria .

In the 19th century, the castle complex was mentioned as being badly destroyed and is now overbuilt. The Burgstall is now a ground monument .
