Marwang Castle

Castle Marwang is the name of a dialed Castle in Marwang in the community Grabenstätt in Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein .

history

The local noble family , which is mentioned as early as 1380, was followed by several families on the private noble seat of Marwang. In 1625 Ladislaus von Toerring zu Stein acquired the property in the village. This then remained in the hands of different Toerringer lines. The castle fell into disrepair in the 18th century. It was canceled around 1780. Only the remains of a moat are left today.
