The expired Lampoding Castle was located on the east bank of the Waginger See in the Lampoding district at the end of the Lodronweg in the Kirchanschöring community in the Traunstein district ( Bavaria ).

history

Lampoding is mentioned for the first time in the Breves Notitiae when Reginolt de Lantpotingen signed himself and his property to the Church of St. Rupert in Salzburg in 788 . At the beginning of the 10th century the place was called Lampotinga when Archbishop Odalbert exchanged goods . A Heinricus de Lampotingen appears in the traditions of the Michaelbeuern monastery before 1190 . This family provides high clergy and secular dignitaries, canons , victume and clergymen. Andreas Lampoting is mentioned in a document on October 2, 1350 as Canon of Salzburg. The Salzburg cathedral chapter elected him provost of the Suben monastery , as such he was confirmed on August 27, 1358 by Bishop Gottfried von Passau . He died on September 1, 1380.

One of the Lampotinger lines comes from Seibold, a ship owner from Laufen . He was knighted at the Battle of Mühlberg and became one of the benefactors of the collegiate church of St. Mary's Assumption of Laufen. Stephan von Lampoding , keeper of Haunsperg , sold his master's rights to Archbishop Gregor . Stephen's cousin, Heinrich von Lampoding, gave his only daughter a large marriage estate, which also included the Lampoding estate; she married Ludwig Eichhammer. The heir to Ludwig, who had remained childless, Wandula von Haunsperg , née Trauner , sold her free property to Friedrich von Lampoding. Friedrich and Stephan von Lampoding appear as members of the Igelbund in 1403 . In a feudal letter from 1427, Friedrich is entrusted with the Oberhof in Lampoding, Hans Lampodinger receives the Mitterhof. In 1461 Friedrich the young Lampotinger received the Oberhof and other goods. He was mentioned in the Landtag load list in 1473, and the Lampodingers disappeared with him.

In 1474 Gilig Gold , Ausferg and citizen of Laufen, and his housewife Benigna, a sister of the last Friedrich von Lampoding, bought the estate back. In a feudal letter from 1506, Archbishop Leonhard gave Hanns Gold the Oberhof, the Mitterhof, the Tannlehen and the Sölden zu Lampoding as a man's fief . Hans Gold, Kastner von Tittmoning , calls himself Lampoting in 1537 ; he should have expanded the residence in Lampoding. In 1592 the Goldsche Schlössl was named in Lampoting . Since the last third of the 16th century, the gold seals with the Lampotine rose . Ernreich von Gold was the last of his family without a male heir. Via his housewife Appolonia Perner von Rettenwörth , the feudal estates and the seat came to Johann Christoph Perner, Erausferg, archbishop councilor and prefect of the chamber. After his death († 1632), his sons sold the aristocratic Süz Lampoding, Güter, Zechent and Undterthonen to Katharina von Lodron , a sister-in-law of Archbishop Paris Lodron, because of the debts in 1632 . In 1637 she handed over these goods to the archbishop's brother, Count Christoph von Lodron, for the establishment of a primogeniture . In 1638 the seat of Lampoding was increased with the Steinbrünning estates (the heavily indebted owner Hans Christoph von Nussdorf died on February 5, 1633 and the tower and courtyard were given to the archbishop) and hunting and fishing rights on the Tachinger See were increased and Lampoding was granted on January 30 1638 the Hofmarkfreedom transferred from Steinbrünning.

Paris Lodron built on 19 August 1653 for his sister a Sekundogenitur - Fideikommiss , Lampoding was introduced into the seat. Lampoding was also united with the fallen Hofmark Wolkersdorf. Christoph Graf von Lodron, hereditary land marshal and owner of the Lodron Primogeniture, became the fief holder of this Doppelhofmark . After his death, his two sons Franz Niklas, married to Theresia von Dietrichstein, and Paris, married to Constantina von Lamberg, took over the inheritance. Both left no surviving children. The rulership of the Hofmark Lampoding-Wolkersdorf was exercised by a Sebastian Franz Joseph, then a Hieronymus Joseph, then his sons Nikolaus Sebastian and Anton Karl, later the latter's son Franz Maria Joseph and from this Hieronymus Paris (from 1794 to 1821). Nikolaus Sebastian Reichsgraf von und zu Lodron stayed at the Lampoding Secondogeniturgy in 1766 and 1767 and beautified the castle accordingly. The Lodrons exercised their court rights in this area until 1811. With Hieronymus Paris, this so-called Georgian Lodron line expires on March 31, 1821. Maria Alois Joseph von Lodron, born on March 31, 1780, married to Maria Anna Countess Plaz, was the next owner; but he died in 1827. From him the rule passed to Carl Maria zu Lodron-Laterano. On September 12, 1829 King Ludwig I approved that Carl Maria Graf Lodron-Laterano, who resided in Innsbruck, formed a patrimonial 2nd class on the Lampoding and Wolkersdorf fiefdoms. Soon afterwards, ownership passed to Count Franz von Lodron. This went bankrupt and on October 22, 1832 the property was auctioned off at the Munich District and City Court. The Hofmark Lampoding and castle were auctioned off to Georg Gruber, the former Lodron secretary in Innsbruck. Since Gruber was a non-nobleman, the patrimonial jurisdiction was repealed by the government of the Isar district. The Tittmoning Regional Court exercised jurisdiction over Wolkersdorf, which Gruber did not acquire. Gruber sold the Lampodingen property in 1833 to Lieutenant Colonel Count Clement von Lodron (1789–1861), who lived in Munich and also held Wolkersdorf. Clement Graf von Lodron was the owner until December 21, 1835, then the castle came to Joseph Ernst von Koch-Sternfeld until 1850 . In 1850 the castle passed to Maria Kerner on Kaufweg. Her husband had the castle demolished in 1853 because he hoped to find a treasure there that naturally could not be found.

Lampoding Castle and Palace

The late medieval building probably had the shape of a residential tower, its location should be equated with that of the later castle. The site to the east and thus below the village of Lampoding, near the Aichet chapel "In honor of our Lady of Loretto", which according to old plans was outside the castle pond, is assumed to be the location. Even today, the approximate dimensions can be seen through slight elevations in the ground and through different vegetation. During drainage work after the First World War , stone material and remnants of walls were found.

The building of the former Hofmark Lampoding-Wolkersdorf was a three-storey hipped roof building with corner turrets. A fresco on the east side of the Aegidius Church in Kirchstein shows the building in the 18th century; Also the club flag of the volunteer fire brigade of Lampoding shows the castle building and also the Lampodinger rose. A house chapel was housed on the upper floor of the castle. A Lodron coat of arms is still embedded in the house wall of the former Unterwirt in Lampoding, probably a remnant of the castle, which was less than 50 meters away. The silver Lampodinger rose was part of the municipal coat of arms of Lampoding, which was independent until 1971; With the incorporation to Kirchanschöring , the rose was integrated in the middle of the new Kirchanschöring coat of arms.

Nothing remains of the building itself, which was demolished in 1853, only the former castle chapel is still there.

Maria Loreto Chapel

In 1547 a chapel "zu Aich" is mentioned for the first time, hence the name "E (A) ichetkapelle". In 1731 the Hofmark owner Hieronymus Joseph Graf Lodron had the chapel rebuilt in the Baroque style.

The chapel is a rectangular solid plastered building with a pentagonal end. The ridge and the pointed roof are covered with shingles. There are arched windows on both sides. Inside is a flat molding ceiling with ornamental painting. The altar is made in neo-Romanesque style with gilded carved ornaments. Between two pairs of columns stands a black Madonna and Child, a copy of the miraculous image of Maria Einsiedeln from the 19th century. There are two wall cupboards behind the high altar, which were intended to hold votive offerings. On the walls there are figures of St. Brother Konrad and the blessed Irmingard von Frauenchiemsee from the first half of the 20th century. The western gallery is clad with a neo-Gothic parapet.
