Sonoya Mizuno

Sonoya Mizuno (born July 1, 1988 in Tokyo Prefecture , Japan ) is a British - Japanese actress , dancer and model .

Live and act

Mizuno was born in Tokyo but grew up in Somerset , England . She attended the Royal Ballet School as a child . Before graduating from the Royal Ballet School, she worked in various ballet companies, including the Semperoper Ballet in Dresden , Ballet Ireland , the New English Ballet Theater and the Scottish Ballet .

Because of her dissatisfaction with her ballet career, she started modeling at the age of 20. She was a model for Chanel , Alexander McQueen , Yves Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton .

In 2014 Mizuno worked with the Portuguese choreographer Arthur Pita . She has appeared in his dance theater, The World's Greatest Show at Greenwich Dance and at the Royal Opera House .

Mizuno made her film debut in Alex Garland's sci-fi - Thriller Ex Machina , which appeared in January 2015 in the UK. She also appears in the dance film StreetDance: New York (High Strung) , which was released in 2016. She was also shown in La La Land in 2016.
