The Sony Xperia ZL (or Xperia Odin / Xperia C650x) , marketed in Brazil as the Sony Xperia ZQ, is a 5-inch luxury smartphone that is developed and marketed by Sony Mobile . The ZL was announced by Sony at CES in January 2013. The device is delivered with Android 4.1 "Jelly Bean". An update to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is available. Sales started in Germany on April 5, 2013. It supports HDR image recording and has a full HD display (1080 × 1920) with a pixel density of 442 ppi. The Xperia ZL is a compact and economical version of the Xperia Z . The main differences to the Xperia Z are the lack of water and dust protection, the plastic back and the size.

hardware

The Xperia ZL has a 5-inch TFT touchscreen display and is equipped with a 13.1 megapixel camera with an Exmor-R CMOS sensor for poor lighting conditions. The camera supports video recording with a resolution of up to 1080p .

The 16 GB memory can be expanded using a microSD card by up to 32 GB (SDHC) or 64 GB (SDXC) since Android 4.2.2.

It is available in black, white and red.

The operating system of the Xperia ZL is Google's Android version 4.1.2 ("Jelly Bean") in the delivery state .

Sony has put its own user interface Sony UI on top of the operating system .

An update to Android 4.2.2 (“Jelly Bean”) followed in June 2013, an update to Android 4.3 (“Jelly Bean”) in December 2013 and an update to Android 4.4.4 (“KitKat”) in September 2014. In May 2015 Android 5.0.2 ( "Lollipop") for which was Xperia Z , Xperia ZL and Xperia Tablet Z dealt. In September 2015, Android 5.1.1 (“Lollipop”) followed for these devices.
