Normal way Ascent from the Unteren Pfandlscharte (normal ascent)

The minstrel is a 3,027  m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Glockner group of the Hohe Tauern in Austria . The summit is located on the main Alpine ridge exactly on the borderline between Carinthia and Salzburg approx. 7 km as the crow flies northwest of Heiligenblut . The continuously marked normal ascent is easy to climb in snow-free and dry conditions (a climbing area secured with a steel cable directly below the summit).

Climbs

The starting point for the normal ascent is the Glocknerhaus on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road . The marked trail leads mainly in a north-northeast direction over the slopes of the so-called Trögeralm , then with a short descent into the basin of the former southern Pfandlschartenkee and with a short ascent to the Untere Pfandlscharte (2663 m). From here you climb over the easy west ridge (ridge) and the above-mentioned climbing point to the summit with the cross (walking time from the Glocknerhaus approx. 2 ½ - 3 hours).

Another ascent leads from the east from the Hochtor over the Brennkogelscharte and the rest of the Guttalkee past the so-called Knappenstube (historical mining area), crossing south of the Klobens into the Spielmannscharte and on the easy east ridge (ridge) to the summit (walking time from the Hochtor approx . 3 hours).
