Sporta IX Torneo Internacional PSA Sporta 2016

The Sporta IX Torneo Internacional PSA Sporta 2016 took place from May 18-21 , 2016 in Santa Catarina Pinula , Guatemala . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2015/16 and belonged to the PSA 50 category .

The winner was Borja Golán , who prevailed in the final against César Salazar with 11: 8, 13:11 and 11: 4. This was his 31st title win on the World Tour. Last year's winner Omar Mosaad did not run again.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were starting places for qualifiers. A wildcard was not awarded.

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 50,000.
