It is a spacious hall church made of brick with concrete pillars and net-like concrete struts as well as a separate tall and slender tower.

In the last twenty years the church and monastery have become a center of encounter between spirituality and art. The current furnishing of the church with artistic objects comes largely from Gerd Winner , such as the altarpiece, the stations of the cross on the right wall and the altarpiece in the chapel. Ingema Reuter created the Marienvariationen on the left wall.

kindergarten

The kindergarten of the same name north of the church also belongs to the parish of St. Albertus Magnus. It was created by converting the former Hagengarten restaurant and opened in 1963. After several renovations and modernizations, around 70 children between the ages of three and six are now cared for in three mixed-age groups.

  • several altar boys' groups

Altar boy

For many years there has been a large number of altar servers in the parish of St. Albertus Magnus Braunschweig. There are currently around 85 children and adolescents on the altar as altar servers, making them one of the largest altar server communities in the Braunschweig region. In addition to the service in church services, there are also many other activities. There is a strong bond with the Dominican monasteries in Vechta , Hamburg , Klausen , Leipzig , Freiburg and Worms . Once a year there is therefore a large acolyte meeting with the altar servers from the congregations, always in a different location.
