Choir with main altar

The Catholic branch church St. Anna in Traxl , a district of Ebersberg in the Upper Bavarian district of Ebersberg , was built from 1492. The church on a hill in the walled cemetery is a protected architectural monument .

architecture

The late Gothic hall building with a three-sided choir closure and a northern flank tower with a pointed helmet was probably built by the master builder Ulrich Ramsauer from Munich, who also appears as the founder of a window with his master’s mark. The star-shaped net vault ends on figured consoles , which are decorated with angel heads with banners. The sacrament niche on the north wall has a curved pointed arch .

Furnishing

Of the church furnishings , the high altar marked with the year 1631 with side figures of St. Joseph and St. Joachim is worth mentioning. In the excerpt there is a large sculpture of St. Sebastian as a martyr. The panel painting on the predella , Man of Sorrows with Mary and John , dates from the end of the 15th century. Above it is the altar sheet from 1856.

The wing of the carved altar on the north side from 1499 was stolen. The south side altar dates from 1631.

Leaded glass window

In the choir and on the south side there are still nine panes from the time the church was built. They come from an unknown workshop. Two discs are dated in the inscription with the year 1497. The lead glass windows depict saints and donors. In the west wall there is a small round window depicting Mary in a halo .
