The St. George Iceland Airport (STG) is on to Alaska belonging island of St. George in the archipelago of the Pribilof Islands . The place has a 1518 meter long and 45 meter wide asphalt runway in a northwest / southeast orientation and is about six kilometers southwest of the main settlement of the island of the same name . It is served by PenAir to Anchorage and St. Paul, among others . In 2010 it had around 650 passengers and 264 aircraft movements.

Pilots must maintain a minimum altitude of 1000 feet over the island from May to October because of the birds and sea lions.
