description

The church essentially dates from the middle of the 17th century; the year 1647 is written on a tie rod in the interior . The hall church was completely renovated in 1778. Its choir tower , which goes back to an older predecessor from the 15th century, has pointed arched sound arcades coupled on the south side . The tower has a pyramid roof , flanked by corner turrets. The nave is covered with a gable roof with dormer windows . In the south there is a half-timbered extension that contains the stairs to the galleries . The barrel-vaulted nave has three-sided galleries with balustrades made of balusters . The choir on the ground floor of the tower is vaulted with a groin . The nave and choir are connected by a pointed triumphal arch . The church furnishings include an altarpiece with winding columns from around 1660 and a pulpit , dated 1664. The main window in the choir shows a representation of Jesus Christ , created around 1900. The organ with 14 registers , divided into 2 manuals and pedal , was built in 1903 by Karl Friedrich Otto Petersilie. Renovations took place inside in 1978 and around 1990.
