description
Remains of the Romanesque building are still there, e.g. B. there are barrel vaults in the tower basement. In 1990 the church was restored.
The Katharinenkirche was built in 1376 in place of a burnt down church with a choir tower and apse in the east from around 1200. It is a Romanesque hall church that was changed around 1600. It was last renovated in 1990. The simple rectangular hall has been preserved from the 12th century layout. On the south side there is a round arched portal on simple fighters and an unadorned tympanum . Also from the 12th century is the first floor of the tower, which is covered with a barrel vault . In the 14th century the apse was demolished. Its foundation could be proven during construction work. A rectangular extension was built as a choir . The upper floors of the tower were built on it around 1600 .
That with a flat ceiling provided nave is arched by a chancel separate from the chorus. The surrounding galleries show representations from the New Testament and panels with sayings from the 18th century on their parapets . The choir has a simple, wooden barrel vault. Most of the furnishings date from the 17th century, some of which were restored in 1986/87. The altar retable from the 17th century consists of arched fields between free-standing columns with depictions of the Last Supper , the Mount of Olives , the Crucifixion , the Resurrection and the Ascension . The altar dates from the 1st half of the 17th century. There are seven symbolic representations on it in round-arched panels . The pulpit from 1678 has paintings with the four evangelists , David and Christ in the arched fields . In the choir there are three boxes from the end of the 17th century for the rule . The church stalls from 1739 and 1799 have names painted on them. The Theophilus Bell was cast around 1300.
