Building description
The hall church has a retracted bell tower in the west. The three-storey tower has a pyramid roof . The bell room is located on the 2nd floor , behind a tracery window with a three-wheel bolt . In the 18th century, the nave was given a mansard roof hipped towards the choir with 3 dormers on the long sides. In the 19th century, large pointed arch windows were added to the walls . The north side has two Gothic , pointed arch portals with Incised drawings . The hall contains a flat wooden barrel and two-story galleries on three sides. On the south side of the nave there was a half - timbered entrance for the family of the manor . After the half-timbered extension had fallen into disrepair, it was demolished and the former entrance walled up.
Furnishing
The pulpit altar is attributed to Jacob Töpfer around 1690. It shows carved foliage with busts of angels and the coat of arms of those of Schlotheim on the parapet . The organ with a manual , a pedal and 12 stops was built by Ludwig Wilhelm Hähnert around 1800. The organ front dates from the late 18th century. There are four bells in the tower. The three larger of them are made of chilled iron and were cast by Schilling & Lattermann in 1919. However, their end of life has been reached, as you can see on the porous surface. A small bronze bell is also available. However, it cannot be rung at the moment.
